The Darman Recycling operation was created to provide further services to the forest industry by recycling wood waste for use in pulp and fiberboard operations. Various manufacturers of wood products throughout the Lower Mainland have had considerable difficulty in securing stable service for trucking and disposal of wood waste generated by their business (broken pallets, mill-ends, slabs, sawdust, hog fuel and so forth).
Darman Recycling was able to provide a service to the industry and at the same time found a viable use for the wood waste, thus, keeping it out of landfills. Darman Recycling operates 6 roll-off disposal units and a 4 demolition trailers. Currently, we pick up or deliver upwards of 4000 yards of wood waste material any given day. We have over 300 customers from BC to Washington utilizing our services and wood waste refuse bins. We process the waste utilizing state of the art recycling technology. The product is then sent to various users located through the United States and Canada.
These operations have been very successful at reducing solid waste in landfills and illegal burning. We also accept and process other wood waste and reducible material for processing. We also accept and have had experience in waste reduction and disposal of yard waste, construction debris, brush, stumps and wood slabs. We not only reduce the waste but dispose of it in an environmentally sound manner.
We believe that if the waste is processed correctly, some of the waste could be used for our chip production and eventually become pulp and fiberboard material. In short, we do not simply reduce and dump waste where convenient, but attempt to find a marketable use for it.
